A bit about me…
Hi, thanks for having a look around my site. My name is Craig and I am the sole owner and representative of Southside DJ – a professional Wedding DJ Company based in the Southside of Glasgow.
I have had a passion for music from an early age growing up listening to my parent’s collection of music which mainly consisted of 60s, 70s and 80s. I enjoy live music and have an appreciation for all types of music – this I feel has helped me throughout my career as a Wedding DJ. Being a teenager in the 90s I particularly enjoy that genre of music but when I’m not DJing I always like to listen to an eclectic mixture of old and new music.
Southside DJ was founded with the main aim of providing a professional, reliable and reasonably priced DJ service where the customer is my priority and most importantly – listened to. My business was born after becoming disheartened with unattentive DJs playing the music they wanted to hear and disregarding what their clients and guests have asked for. I decided I wanted to add a fun but professional element to parties where my focus is on the client and their guests. I believe that in any Industry being approachable is just as important as the service being delivered and I would like to think that my outgoing and caring personality are just two of the reasons why the majority of my bookings are referrals from past clients. It quickly became apparent that my real passion lay in Weddings – it gave me a huge amount of pride and pleasure being able to make a contribution towards giving my couples the day they have dreamt about.

I always meet with my clients as I like to ensure that I will be able to deliver you vision and this also gives us an opportunity to learn more about each other which allows me to personalise your Wedding rather than being someone who just turns up on the day and simply “plays music” (as perhaps the old stigma of DJs suggests). I will then meet with you again nearer your date to finalise the little details and am available at any time should you have any questions whether this is via phone, email or text. Weddings have allowed me to build up good relationships with other like-minded suppliers so if you need recommendations for dancefloors, photo booths or even venue decor I can assist and I always pass on any discounts to you rather than making a profit from it.
I take my DJ business very seriously and that is why I have invested time and effort into learning and developing myself in order to take my business to the next level. This is reflected in my dedication by attending specialised DJ training courses throughout the year which range from Wedding workshops in America through to microphone techniques and customer focus seminars in locations such as Birmingham, Milton Keynes and Glasgow. I believe it is just as important to invest in yourself as it is on equipment.
I am part of various DJ Organisations throughout the UK including Scottish DJ Alliance and the National Association of DJs. I have presented to other DJs on a variety of topics relating to the DJ and Wedding industry.
I take pride in my DJ setup as this is one of the most important days of your life. You have spent a lot of money on the venue and decorating so it is important that my DJ Setup should reflect this. All of my equipment is backed up in the unlikely event should anything go wrong. I give my clients a big role to play in choosing their songs for their Wedding day and I don’t leave anything to chance. I have all of the relevant insurances including Public Liability, PAT Testing and of course music subscriptions to ensure I comply with all legislation.
As I am the sole operator of Southside DJ I never take on bookings that I cannot personally fulfil. By being a sole operator of my business I can therefore ensure that everything is up to the extremely high standards that I have set for myself. I have backup contingencies in place should the need arise and have access to a network of like-minded Professional Wedding DJs.
My aim for the future is to continue to deliver an exceptional standard of customer service and care to my clients and improving my business where I can.
Thank you for taking the time to read this insight into my Wedding Business, I hope you have found it useful and informative.
Please have a look around my website and if you would like to make a booking enquiry or would simply like additional information then I’d be delighted to hear from you.
Meeting with me
I offer a free, no obligation face to face meeting with all bookings. I feel that it is important to feel comfortable with the person who will be trusted with your day. I treat each Wedding with the same level of detail and respect that I would expect from my own. During our meeting I can talk through your day in more detail and we can discuss your music likes and dislikes. A face to face meeting will allow us to get to know each other better and helps me to gain a clear understanding of your exact vision for your big day. The personal touch is very important to me.
My promise to you
My promise is to dedicate all my time and effort into ensuring your event exceeds your expectations. I offer a bespoke service so anything is possible.
I will do all I can to ensure that your Wedding has all the elements you love to make it a day and/or night that you and your guests will always remember. You only get one chance to do it right so don’t compromise!
It was amazing! Do you have somewhere for me to tell everyone how brilliant a DJ you are?
